Important: A current manufacturer’s operator’s manual must be available for every machine used during training or assessment. If a suitable manual cannot be produced, Vally Plant Training reserves the right to delay or stop training until one is available.
If you’re booking an Experienced Worker Test (EWT), every candidate will be professionally profiled before the assessment. Candidates must demonstrate sufficient practical operating experience and may be asked about previous training, qualifications and the types of MEWPs they have operated.
If insufficient evidence of previous operating experience or training is provided, the instructor may refuse the Experienced Worker Test and recommend refresher or novice training instead.

This training is ideal for individuals who need to operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), particularly scissor lifts, in various industries.
The training includes site safety awareness, machine control familiarization, pre-start checks, safe operating techniques, recognizing hazards, and emergency procedures.
The course typically lasts 1 day and can accommodate up to 6 candidates.
Participants receive an NPORS card, either the traditional card valid for 5 years or the NPORS card with CSCS logo, initially valid for 2 years.
Candidates must have a good understanding of English. For the NPORS card with CSCS logo, a CSCS Health & Safety test must have been completed within the last two years.
